Today's young people face life-threatening challenges on a daily basis--substance abuse, neglect, AIDS, poverty -- the list is far too long. If our youth are to grow up and become productive citizens of society -- often if they are to grow up at all -- they need a place away from these threats. A place where they can just be kids. A place where caring adults can help them develop the skills and self-confidence to say, "no", to dangerous pastimes. The Bellevue Boys and Girls Club offers that -- and more.
Since 1952, the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club has provided the young people in our community with something they need and want most: a safe environment, where adults respect and listen to them...and where they can have fun.
Since 1995, BB&GC membership has escalated from 3,800 to 8,000. Of the 15,000 school-age young people living in Bellevue, we reach over half of that population with our programs. We also provide programs and services to an additional 4,000 teens annually.
